In 2018, Neptune Aviation will celebrate 25 seasons as the primary provider of large airtanker services to the United States Forest Service. In 2010, Neptune became the world’s first aerial firefighting company to deploy a British Aerospace built BAe-146-200 regional jet in an airtanker role. The four-engine jet, modified with a 3,000-gallon capacity fire retardant tanking system, represents the first of a new generation of large airtankers and is now part of a fleet of 9. Neptune employs a proficient cadre of A&P mechanics and FAA certificated repairmen to maintain the BAe fleet.
