Professor Dominique Legendre
Dominique Legendre, Professor at Toulouse-INP University in France, is an internationally recognized expert in two-phase flow and collaborates with many leading foreign universities (University of Tokyo, Tsinghua University in Pekin, Brown University (USA). He is currently co-chairman of the International Congress of Multiphase Flows (ICMF), which brings together more than 1,000 worldwide fluid mechanic researchers every 3 years. Professor Legendre is a senior researcher at the Institut de Mécanique des Fluides de Toulouse (IMFT) one leading Fluid Mechanics laboratories in Europe. He has more than 150 international publications and conferences in the field of fluid mechanics and multiphase flows. He has actively collaborated with the USDA Forest service on the characterization of the ground drop patterns of many airtankers which resulted in a publication in IJWF and the development of the NASCA software. Professor Legendre is also involved in several scientific projects with the French civil protection airbase in Nîmes, France, in partnership with the local economic agency Openimes.
