Tim Sheehy is the founder and CEO of Bridger Aerospace (B.A.), an industry leader in Aerial Firefighting services and technology. Sheehy founded the company in November of 2014 with a single aircraft and currently operates a fleet of over 20 Aircraft, which includes the flagship CL-415EAF super scooper and over 150 personnel. He subsequently founded Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT), which he spun out of B.A. in 2015, that focused on airborne sensor solutions critical to modern wildfire mitigation. Sheehy pivoted AVT to defense applications, providing Counter-UAS solutions to the military and scaled it to 100 employees. In 2020 CACI international acquired AVT, where Sheehy remains an advisory board member for CACI. Before his business career, Sheehy was a Navy SEAL officer, deploying several times worldwide in support of combat operations; he was wounded and subsequently discharged in 2014. He is a recipient of The Bronze Star for Valor, the Purple Heart Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor, and various other commendations. Today, Sheehy serves as a U.S. interagency carded active line pilot supporting the B.A. fleet, flying as a first officer on the CL-415EAF. Sheehy is also a member of the Montana Board of Aeronautics and serves on the U.S. Space and Rocket Center board in Huntsville, Alabama. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and resides in Montana with his wife and four children. He enjoys hay farming, cattle ranching, and downhill skiing.
